The whole of Y10 were off timetable for two days for the annual Enterprise in Action conference organised through Young Enterprise.
During the course of the two days the students, working in teams of six, set up a company which has to research a market, produce a prototype product and then market it to their target consumer group. The companies are assisted by business advisors and the event is designed to give students a taste of entrepreneurship. All the companies are in competition with each other and they have to present their product to a panel of judges. The overall winner this year was Momentum with their ‘all in one kitty care’ product!
