Sixth Form Macmillan Coffee Morning

Lower Sixth students, Amy Biggadike and Sophie Brass recently organised a coffee morning to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.  Amy is well known for her baking abilities so the queue of staff and pupils waiting to buy a piece of chocolate cake or a lemon meringue muffin was not surprising.     Supported by friends Caitlin Costello,  Kirsty Edge, Jess Emmerson , Sasha Grau, Jas Hutchinson-Bazeley, Martina Short and Jenn Watts, £141 was raised, enough to:

•    Pay for a  Macmillan nurse for an hour
•    Buy a liquidiser for someone who can’t eat solid food as a result of their cancer treatment
•    Help run a typical, large Macmillan Information and Support Centre for an hour.
