The Curriculum at Queen Elizabeth's |
The school offers a broad and balanced curriculum which we keep under review to ensure its continuing relevance to the modern world and national educational initiatives. Every effort is made to avoid premature specialisation and to meet the individual needs of pupils throughout their development. The curriculum covers three key stages, summarised here. Further details are available on request.
Each department has its own specialist teaching rooms and we place emphasis on providing up-to-date facilities, including the use of computers. There is broadband access to the internet and e-mail facility for all students.
In recent years we have benefited from an almost continuous programme of capital improvements, culminating in the opening of the new Arts Centre, with its Performance Studio, as part of the school's millennial celebrations. Other very recent developments have included the provision of additional laboratories and workshops for teaching Science, Technology and ICT.
